About Us

We are the local Child Protection organisation of the Randburg and Cosmo City areas

Tutela Family Care Linden was established on 24 June 1981.  Tutela Family Care Linden (originally known as Christian Social Services Council or CMR Linden) is a well-established organisation that renders social services to families, individuals and communities in three magisterial districts namely, Johannesburg, Randburg and Roodepoort. The Tutela Family Care Linden is a designated Child Protection Organisation (CPO) rendering statutory services and focussing on safeguarding of children.

We offer family and social services, especially child protection services, that makes a difference in the community.

Poverty Relief
Our objective is to alleviate poverty and combat unemployment by empowering disadvantaged individuals, families and communities. Our focus is the vulnerable!
Quality Services
By implementing good management skills, trained board members and mobilizing and empowering volunteers, we can deliver quality and effective services that meet everyone’s needs.
Network
In collaboration with several local Dutch Reformed Churches in the Randburg area and networking with various service providers and role players, we’re able to serve the community effectively and share knowledge and resources.
Infrastructure
Maintaining our infrastructure is of utmost importance to achieve our goal of delivering quality and sustainable social services to the community.

We offer faith based social work services and is proudly affiliated to the Presbytery of Linden.

I would like to volunteer my time

With our second-hand shop, we utilize volunteers to assist with the packing, marking, and folding of the donations. The volunteers also can help to get involved in selling and sorting at our jumble shops once a month.

We can also utilize volunteers’ personal experience with group work that we can set up for our clients, or with support services for families in need – either with material needs or with parental guidance.
